M Sc in clinical research in vishakapatnam?
sorry i dont know,

i m from Pakistan

I did m.sc.zoology.can i do the clinical research associate online course?

if yes then plz give me information about that and what will be the fee?

I did m.sc.zoology.can i do the clinical research associate online course?
I work for a Clinical Research Organization and if you have a Masters degree in a scientific discipline and you do a CRA online course, then you are employable.

There are lots of options for online courses and the costs vary, depending on whether you are getting certification or a specific educational degreee. I have included links to the Society for Clinical Research Associates, and two online training programs. If you use any internet search engine, you will be able to find several additional online courses.

For many CROs and pharma companies, you don't need a the CRA certification or degree. Most of us want to hire people with good scientific training and then, we will train them how to be CRAs within our organization. It means that you have to start out at a junior level and work your way up.

Have you ever participated in a clinical research study?

Yes, I am clinically researching how many times I can ask a question about the rabbi before the yahoos catch on and delete it! lol.

No, but I probably would if the opportunity ever presented itself.

Reply:Yes, but the one i want to participate in is an orgasmn study.
Reply:i havent but my dad has, with blood clot med.

Reply:No, I haven't.
Reply:Sort of. I've been in a bunch of research studies at the local university where I have done such things as:

* pretended to gamble, and answered questions on how gambling made me feel;

* answered trivia questions, predicting my success and others' success, and then answering personality questions;

* examining others' test answers and predicting their success on a third test.

It's pretty fun, and the people are usually fairly businesslike .... you might almost say "clinical" .... so there you go, I guess we'll just say that I've been in a clinical research study.

It's pretty fun, and it's easy money. I highly recommend it. Just don't do anything where they inject you, or where they don't tell you up-front how much you're making!!
Reply:No, but there have been times I have thought about it though.
Reply:No, but once I was in the mall with my teenage daughter and her friend, and they talked me into doing this 'survey' thing where you take about '1/2 hour' and make some 'money'. %26gt;kaCHINGGG!%26lt; "Let's do this!", I said.

Well, they had different product packaging and you had to say which looked most appealing , and they gave a choice of product names, and you picked which were the least stupid sounding, and after like, an HOUR, I got a lousy five bucks for my time, and the girls each got $2.oo.....(-?-)
Reply:Yes allergy med. About 8 years ago.

Reply:Yes, and I don't love this study.

Reply:No, but I always heard about one on the radio.
Reply:No , but I would if I could get paid.
Reply:no, but I would as long as I don't have to do anything nasty
Reply:no. I think it would be fun, though. But what kind of research study would I participate in?

Clinical research or laboratory research?

I do not think it matters which you choose. The point is to choose one and stick with it. When applying for residency programs it will be easy to tell if you are doing research because you enjoy it or because you know it will look good on your application. Whatever area you choose to go into make sure to learn every aspect of it.

Have you ever went to a clinical research place?

what do they do

theres one in my area that is offering $4000 to stay there for a week and i need money

Have you ever went to a clinical research place?
Yup. I do them all the time actually. The one near me only tests drugs that have been on the market and lost their patent (after a certain amount of time they have to repatent) anyway, I've probably done about 20-30 of them. Its a great way to make extra cash and help get (or keep) potentially life-saving drugs on the market
Reply:I've heard of such places, they do what is known as pharmacological testing, and U go there 4 the specified time period. U would be given investigational medications. Eat well 4 the duration, have regular blood draws and get your $ @ the end of the research trial.

Where to apply for potential or Clinical Trials & Research volunteer??

Where can I find for the Pharmacokinetics study?I want to be a volunteer recruitment of Pharmacokinetics study or Clinical Trials %26amp; Research CTRU study..can anyone help me??Thanks! I am william Yeo. yeocheong@hotmail.com

Where to apply for potential or Clinical Trials %26amp; Research volunteer??
You can research all clinical trials currently underway at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) at:

http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/

Just type in what you are looking to participate in and a list relevant to your search will pop up (if any active studies are underway). Those that are marked "recruiting" are accepting volunteers.
Reply:clinicaltrials.gov lists trials in which there is direct oversight by the US FDA, but it doesn't have ALL the trials. Check with individual medical schools and universities for their clinical trials research unit (CTRU). The below Yahoo search will get you started.

You might also consider preclinical trials because much more extensive pharmacokinetic data can be extracted from non-human models than from humans. The concepts are the same.

How to get clinical research projects?

What do you want to do? You want to participate as a subject on a clinical trial? or you want to conduct a clinical trial? or you want to work for a clinical research organization?

If you want to be a subject just google "clinical trials" or "research studies"

If you want to conduct a clinical trial, you have to make a proposal to the agency "CDC" for example, that is going to grant you the money to research. But that you can do if you are a doctor or have a PHD in the area that you want to have research done.

If you want to work for a CRO, then look for hospitals that are teaching institutions like New York Presbyterian Hospital or Colleges with medical schools, and look for jobs in the research areas. Good luck

I have ADHD. I smoked some marajuana about 2 years ago, and I felt like it really helped my "fast brain" in a therapeutic way. I feel there should be a medical study and would be willing to be a guina pig-so to speak. Where do I get involved in such a study. I believe it will help others.

Well I guess they will not guarantee you to get you into the Industry, as that will depend on how you perform, how much knowledge you retain, what kind of personality you develop by joining this courses.

They will just help you to develop your personality, help you to provide some basic platform; rest will depend on your hard work.

How can u evaluate the clinical pharmacy practice in Australia in comparison to the USA?

I ment by my question the clinical pharmacy services like: theraputic drug monitoring, clinical rounds, patient counselling, clinical research, drug information centers and attitude toward pharmaceutical care practice because i am accepted to the Doctor of clinical pharmacy program in University of south Australia it is similar to the pharm D in The U.S. but it is hard to be accepted as a forign student in the U.S. :)

How can u evaluate the clinical pharmacy practice in Australia in comparison to the USA?
Here (USA) the education is great, and you get almost a med school-style education. You learn plenty about counseling of patients and have lots of clinicals. In order to be a clinical pharmacist, you have to do a 2-year residency after your PharmD program (not always required, but they're trying to make it that way) during which you only get paid like 40,000 (after you're done it's like 100,000).

Unfortunately, the respect for clinical Rx is a little lagging for those who practice here. They tell you in school how much you're respected and everything, but people tell me it's really not the case--the doctors tend to ignore what pharmacists say, and the best path to autonomy is to work for the US government.

I don't know how it is in OZ, but that's how it is here.

Can i apply for a clinical research associate job position ,if iam a masters degree holder in biotech?
Yes, you can always apply for any job. That's one of the great things about the US. Of course, that doesn't mean you'll get hired. There are a lot of PhDs who end up in post-doctoral research positions because they can't find full-time, permanent jobs. So, it might be difficult for you with just a master's. Still, check out the job announcements and see what they list as minimum qualifications. If they say a master's degree, then apply. If they say a PhD, you can still apply...just don't hold your breath waiting for them to call you.

Have you considered coming to the US to get a PhD? Half our science PhD students are from India.

Does any one know of a medical or clinical laboratory that developes medicines or is willing to research?
All the main Drug Companies do their own research ... however none would be willing to take on external work since this could compromise their Patents.

The research is relatively low cost compared to the approval process (which can cost billions) ..

How to prepare a questionnaire to know that investigators conducting clinical trials are GCP trained or not?

I am a CLINICAL RESEARCH STUDENT and am preparing a thesis on implementation of ICHGCP guidelines....and so i need to prepare a questionnaire regarding trained GCP professionals

How to prepare a questionnaire to know that investigators conducting clinical trials are GCP trained or not?
I'm not sure if you want to test the investigators by giving them a questionnaire with multiple choice, short answer, or essay questions ... or do you somehow want to get proof from them that they have completed GCP training?

With regard to the second approach, most of them should have a certificate from whatever training they took. They should be able to give you a copy of the certificate to prove that they have been trained.

With regard to the first approach, you can make up a test and give it to them. I'm not sure what your thesis question might be, but you could construct your test around your particular questions of interest.

I think you will find that a lot of investigators will claim to have been trained (or have actually been trained), but may not remember all the specifics of GCP. It is why most companies have fairly close monitoring of clinical trials by people outside of the institution where the trial is being run.

Is it possible for me to submit my self in live body to stem cell research and study.Like for paid trials?

i want to get paid. not for medicine. Well if I quit drinking I can do medicine clinical research studies. But I want to regenerate my body parts if possible.

Is it possible for me to submit my self in live body to stem cell research and study.Like for paid trials?
If you want to get into clinical trials, then go here to the official websites:

http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/

http://www.centerwatch.com/

http://www.clinicalconnection.com/
Reply:Highly doubtful. Adding stem cells to your body (assuming you don't reject them) wouldn't allow you to regenerate anything that's not already going to regenerate.

Besides, if you have any history of excessive drinking or alcoholism, I don't think they would accept you for any majorly important study like that. Good luck!

Is West Coast Clinical Research safe?

They're doing clinical trials and studies on Female Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder [lack of sex drive] I have right now. It seems my only help for help for my disorder is either female Viagra or what's going on at this company.

Although the disorder isn't life-threatening, it really irks me that I can't enjoy a normal relationship with my boyfriend [Don't worry, he's a great guy. He's been with me through this from the start =) ].

The company states that it will cover all charges and reimburse me for my time, but I'm afraid that they will subject me to potentially harmful drugs instead of things that have been pre-tested.

If anybody has any information on the methods of testing, any binding contracts or hoops they make you jump through, or even for the lack of sex drive, I would GREATLY appreciate your input.

Thanks in advance!

Can anyone tell me about clinical studys are they dangerous?

This is the process of trying out a new drug for clinical research in example a diet pill.

Can anyone tell me about clinical studys are they dangerous?
Clinical studies are the stage after animal experiments to detemine effectiveness and safety of the drug. There is some risk no doubt.
Reply:Yes I would say this is the stage where they find out if it works or not before they decide whether or not it hits the general public.

I would never try anything like that unless you were seriously ill and willing to risk whatever little health you have left to see if something works...sometimes you luck out, sometimes you don't, but someone has to be the first to try it I guess.

What are the best survey methods for the development and retention of participants in research studies?

I'm trying to find the best method of conducting a survey for community members to be involved and informed about clinical research so that their responses can help future research and/or they will be inspired to pursue a health- related career.

What are the best survey methods for the development and retention of participants in research studies?
I worked on a research study where we used an online survey instrument and had tremendous success with it. Now, I'm liberal arts so I don't know all the specifics of programming (we had a tech guy set it up for us), but the software was very user-friendly and once we set it up and harvested the emails we wanted to use, it sent them out in mass quantities. We could log on and track changes; it even had options for creating graphs and other data organizers directly from the raw data. Of course it could perform some statistical functions that were way over my head as well!

Long story short: I think an online survey would go over very well. It's convenient for participants and easy for you as the researcher to view results.

Hope this helps!
Reply:There is not a simple answer to this question because more information is needed about this population. I took a survey methodolgy class and choosing a method depends on many factors.

For example, another person said internet surveys are best. But how will you get community members to access the survey? Do you have all of their email addresses to send them a link? Is the internet appropriate for the type of questions you're asking? Since internet is self administered, there won't be a researcher present if the participants have questions or are unsure how to respond.

Depending on your situation, internet might be the best option but it might not be. Or you might want to used mixed methods.

I recommend that you check out a survey methods book and then make an educated decision. Don Dillman is a trusted name in the field - I recommend him highly.

What is this clinical research?and what are job opportunities in it?

India is becoming a hub for clinical research; the demand for professionals in this field is growing rapidly. Clinical research business in India will be worth $1 billion by 2010. Thus, there will soon be a massive demand for clinical research professionals, making it an interesting career option with massive growth potential.

Clinical research is all set to become the next big thing in India. A large population with a substantial workforce and cost benefits influence multinationals to set up research facilities here. Besides due to the prevalence of a large variety of diseases, including widespread cases of cancer and diabetes India is viewed the world over as the ideal location for clinical research trials for the pharmaceutical industry. …

What is Clinical Research?…

A clinical research is a scientific study of the effects, risks, efficacy and benefits of a medicinal product. These are carried out prior to the release of the medicine in the market. These trials are undertaken at various stages and studies are conducted after the launch of a new product to monitor safety and side effects during large-scale use. Clinical trials are conducted by pharmaceutical companies or contract research organisations (CRO’s) on their behalf. It is this sector that is driving the growth in clinical research in India.

So, what does one need to become a part of this rapidly growing industry?

Eligibility…

A B. Sc. degree is a must to enter this field. Ideally the industry is looking for science graduates from pharmacy, medicine, life science and bioscience. Within bioscience too there are various other fields such as botany, zoology, biochemistry and genetics. Anybody who fulfils these criteria can join the industry.

Individuals with prior work experience of 2-3 years are preferred, but like the BPO industry, there is a dearth of trained professionals here too. Thus, with the right qualifications finding a job in clinical research should not be a problem.

Job Profile…

Clinical Research branches off into various categories at the entry level.

The most common entry-level position is that of a Clinical Research Associate (CRA). The role of a CRA is varied,

They are key participants in the design, implementation and monitoring of clinical trials

They shoulder the responsibility of planning and implementing all activities required to conduct and monitor complex clinical trials and ensure that Good Clinical Practices are followed.

They assist in preparation of presentations and manuscripts of scientific meetings and technical journals and attend scientific/professional meetings and training courses as appropriate.

BIOSTATISTICIAN are those who,

Perform statistical programming, design, and analysis for clinical trial projects. Planning, coordinating and providing statistical analyses, summaries and reports of studies is also a part of their job profile.

In addition they are responsible for New Drug Applications and Biological License Applications submissions.

CRM are Clinical Research Managers,

They supervise design and writing of protocols, case report forms and informed consent forms for clinical trials. They ensure that Case Report Forms are reviewed in a timely fashion and submitted to the data management group.

There are other posts too such as Clinical Research Coordinator, Business Development Manager, Clinical Research Investigator, Clinical Data Manager etc.

Remuneration…

There is high demand for trained professionals in this field; the pay package is impressive at the entry level.

Freshers can expect a pay packet of around three lakhs or more per annum.

If you have a master's degree backing your qualifications, then the amount is almost doubles.

Clinical research is an industry where experience counts, thus the longer you are in this field; higher the salary you can expect.

Growth Prospects…

There are various growth opportunities along the way for those willing to learn. For those interested in serious research work, a PhD is the ideal solution. There are post graduate degrees and diploma's offered by various colleges which come in handy to enhance one's career prospects. Specialization in branches of pharmacy, life sciences, biochemistry will be useful.

Studying further will also help one in bettering their current job profile. For instance doing a masters will enhance the job prospects of a CRA to become a Project Manager. Similarly a PhD in a related discipline is needed to become a Medical Director.

According to industry reports,

India is the second largest pharmaceutical market in Asia growing by more than nine per cent annually. According to a report, there are more than 50,000 jobs in clinical research in India .

Lack of experience is no longer a hindrance, and companies are hiring from other streams too. With the influx of multinationals setting up research facilities here, the industry is poised to grow exponentially.

Where to Study?…

Academy for Clinical Excellence (ACE) Website: www.aceindia.org It offers courses like Clinical Research; From Theory to Practice, clinical Research and GCP for investigators, Quality assurance in clinical research etc.

Institute of Clinical Research (ICRI) Website: www.icriindia.com It offers the following courses:

Two year full time - Masters in Clinical research + MBA

Two year full time – MSC in Clinical Research

Part-time post graduate diploma in Clinical Research (1 year)

PhD in Clinical Research.

Bombay College of Pharmacy: Website: www.bcpindia.org Offers Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral programme of study in Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Looking for information on bio technology, bio informatics and Clinical research courses?

My daughter is studying final semester bio technology B.Sc course. Can you suggest me the possible higher studies which are job oriented ? Which are the courses available on Bio technology, Bio informatics and Clinical research ? Is there any course available on part time or on job training ?

Looking for information on bio technology, bio informatics and Clinical research courses?
From a BSc, the field differentiates rapidly.

She needs to decide which echelon she wants to pursue within the biochemistry/biotechnology/microbiology field because the title of her degree means a lot in job placement, regardless of the specific coursework offered. Many schools offer specific MS, Ph.D. programs in Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, etc. There is, however, no on-the-job education save through the US Army, though many companies will train them for specific uses the company has internally.

I would suggest as a core the following courses no matter her final course of study: Pharmacology/Pharmacogenomics, Proteomics, Bioinformatics/BioPerl, Immunology, Physiology, Etymology, Principles of Spectrophotometry, Advanced Organic Chemistry, Human Biochemistry, Enzymology, and Molecular Genetics as starters. Feel free to email me if you need further guidance as I am a Biochemist in Federal Service.

Do Clinical Psychologists do more than talk to people in a private session? I keep hearing about research..?

I (at least I think I do) want to be a psychologist and am in college to do so. I just have a question.. If I want to be a clinical psychologist, do I have to do a lot of research too? Can I not just schedule appointments and talk with people daily? Do I have to be constantly doing research? And if so, what would I research on a daily basis?

Like I said, I just keep hearing things but I wanted to ask a few people that knew first.

Do Clinical Psychologists do more than talk to people in a private session? I keep hearing about research..?
There are different specialties within the field of clinical pychology. Indeed, some clinical psychologists do exclusively psychotherapy, while others perform research, often associated with a university. Another speciality is psychological testing, often done for agencies such as the court system, business, Child Protective Services, the prison system, mental hospitals, etc. Many clinical psychologists do some combination of these activities. What you do depends on your interests, your skills, and what is needed in the community in which you work.
Reply:When you hear about them doing research, it means they're conducting experiments to learn new things about psychology.

You don't HAVE to conduct research, but it's the only way to get your name in textbooks (if that happens to be a goal of yours).

What amount of research experience is needed to be considered for a PhD program in Clinical Psychology?

I will be getting my Master's in August 2008, and am now looking around at doctoral programs. I'm kind of worried because I don't have much research experience. Aside from a small research project in my undergrad years (hardly anything even worth mentioning) and the thesis that I just started, I won't really be bringing much to the table in terms of experience. My advisor simply said "get some research experience." With a full load and a thesis in the works, I'm not really sure how to do that before graduation! Will a completed thesis be enough to be considered (and hopefully accepted) into a PhD (or possible PsyD) program? I appreciate your help!

What amount of research experience is needed to be considered for a PhD program in Clinical Psychology?
it depends on the program. i don't think you need a lot of research experience but it would certainly help. i have several friends who, when we were done with our master's, went on to get their ph.d.s. (well, they're in their fourth year now). anyway, our master's program was totally research intensive -- meaning our subjects focused on the research perspective rather than clinical (so we took a lot of methodology and stats) - and they say it helped them in grad school b/c they fly over the stuff in class. they cover so much and a lot of the other students were struggling to keep up. that doesn't mean they couldn't -- prob just that they spent more time studying over it.

if your gpa and gre scores are high enough, and you have good references you have a good chance. they DO like to see that you've been doing research though, or are otherwise working within the field. maybe see if you can work with a professor on one of their projects in your free time (if you have any). that's usually the easiest way to do it is to just work with them on their stuff. you might even get to publish with them, if you're lucky. you could also maybe try to get a parttime job or internship at a local facility, depending on what you're interested in, like a psych ward or halfway house or something. good luck

*btw, one of our professors said a good way to try to get in was to establish contact with one of the professors at the schools you want to go to the most. try to talk to them about their research interests and express your own. the hope is you can get them to agree to take you on and they'll just tell admissions that you're coming and they'll admit you. he swore by it. several of my friends did this -- i can't say how much it helped but they seemed to think that it did, at least to some extent... esp if your interests are similiar to their own, cause they like to keep publishing and you end up doing a lot of work with them
Reply:The above poster gave a pretty thorough response. A few other things:

I worked for a few years before getting my doctorate, and during that time, I looked up the psychology professors at the local college in my area and wrote them a letter asking if I could volunteer on one of their research studies because I needed the experience for grad school. It worked, and I got some additional experience.

The other thing is that PsyD programs are much less research oriented, and they won't expect you to have the kind of research background that research-oriented PhD programs will.

Also, figure out what area of psychology you are interested in, and look for someone who writes a lot of articles on that subject. When you apply to a PhD program, keep in mind that you will want to work closely with a specific professor on their research projects. So try to become knowledgeable about that area of research and even write to the professor and ask about their research, and what you can be doing as a MA student.

Clinical trial

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

(Redirected from Clinical research)

In medicine, a clinical trial (synonyms: clinical studies, research protocols, medical research) is the application of the scientific method to human health. Researchers use clinical trials to test hypotheses about the effect of a particular intervention upon a pathological disease condition. Well-run clinical trials use defined techniques and rigorous definitions to answer the researchers' questions as accurately as possible.

The most commonly performed clinical trials evaluate new drugs, medical devices, biologics, or other interventions on patients in strictly scientifically controlled settings, and are required for regulatory authority[1] approval of new therapies. Trials may be designed to assess the safety and efficacy of an experimental therapy, to assess whether the new intervention is better than standard therapy, or to compare the efficacy of two standard or marketed interventions. The trial objectives and design are usually documented in a clinical trial protocol.

Where can i find info regarrding a clinical research program for mild depression in California?

The National Institutes of Mental Health (NIMH), part of the NIH, keeps a database of relevant clinical trials at its website:

Are there any differences between Clinical Research postion & Clinical Laboratory Scientist?

Clinical Research position included Clinical Research Associate (CRA) or Clinical Research Scientist (CRS), Clinical Research Coordinator, Study Coordinator, Regulatory Affairs etc.

Clinical Laboratory Scientist also known as Clinical Lab Technologist or Medical Lab Scientist.

I'm writting my CV objective and very confused with the position should I mention. The wrong keyword may kill the application. I'm seeking if anybody could hand in a help. TQ!

Are there any differences between Clinical Research postion %26amp; Clinical Laboratory Scientist?
I can tell you that a clinical lab scientist (or med tech) is a very specific 1 year training program (after a bachelor's) after which you take an exam from the American Academy of Clinical Pathologists and get a certification and then a state license as a MT-SOOOO, if you did not do all that, you can not try to get a job that requires a med tech license. Clinical research positions can be certified; or generally just involve a bachelor's or master's degree in a science subject.

What does the term CTA (EU) mean in Clinical Research Terms?

It means "Clinical Trials Administration" (or adminstrator) for the European Union. This is the person who controls and organizes the clinical trial(s).

Is clinical research industry really growing in india?

India has very high-quality/competitive English-speaking medical schools combined with low-wages for doctors, I have no doubt US clinical companies are exporting their research to India. My guess is, YES!

i have just finished my Diploma in clinical analysis(pathology) from Sophia college %26amp; i am a graduate in Microbiology looking forward for higher education in medical field .I have keen interest in clinical trials as i had done my internship from Clinical diagnostic Center(CDC) where part of clinical trials (only sample processing) are carried out.Currently i am working at the same place(CDC) as they had offered job proposal to work as a medical technologist,as soon as i finished my internship of 3 months. But i still want to have a better qualification . suggest me the appropriate courses that suits me.clinical research(diploma-6months) or M.Sc in microbiology by research.i am highly confused

Clinical research(diploma-6months) or M.Sc in microbiology by research(3years)which one to opt for?
If you want to gain a higher degree from you research then I'd suggest a MSc is the best option. You will learn the basics of research, have a degree, and set the foundation for a PhD if you choose to go through this academic route in the future.

Good luck

i need a web site that tells you all the paid clinical research studies in my area.

Clinical research studies info?
Yahoo Health has many listed. You can get to the main page and then type in your area and it should bring them all up.

You can also add them to your "My Yahoo" page so that only ones you are interested in and in your area come up.

I don't think you'll find much specific information in Yahoo Answers on that topic. If you want to do pharma mgt, then you should try to network with people in that area and get advice from them. Start with your professional associations. Also, ask sales reps (who are always trying to get to see you) for names and phone numbers at their companies. They are always delighted to help.

Best of success.

I think that the operative word in your comments is "healthy."

You may fall outside that basic criteria for inclusion.

By the way you punctuated and highlighted your question, I think that you may be attempting to gain artificial attention by Internet proxy.

And, please, by all means, report me.

Are you a doctor? It probably will take two-three years. I have a friend now that is going for one, and will do it internationally. He is a real doctor. Have you even finished medical school and your internship, yet?

How much research experience do you need for a clinical psychology Ph.D program?

I'm applying to clinical psychology Ph.D programs in the fall but most of the deadlines are in january...I've been working as a research practicum student at a hospital only for 2 months...but it will be 5-6 months of experience by december. I've also done an undergrad thesis and a poster presentation.

I'm not applying to super top schools like Yale or Harvard, but am wondering if this is enough? What kind of research do these programs look for, aside from publications?

Right now as an RA, I'm entering data. My supervisor said I can be included in a poster presentation in the future, and a publication will only occur within a year (which is too late after I apply).

How much research experience do you need for a clinical psychology Ph.D program?
Do everything you can to beef up your CV, but don't lie or exaggerate. The letter you get from professors you work with is key. Make sure they have something good to say about you; be diligent in all the work you do and pay careful attention to detail. Doing data entry? Be 100% accurate, screen for out of range data, edit, etc. Your name on a poster presentation is great. The publication, is it in press? If yes, make sure you note "in press" as a pub. If not accepted, report it as a manuscript submitted to "x" journal. Any grant experience? That is killer.

Any research experience you have is helpful. They want to know what you bring to the program.
