hi im considering applying for a postgraduate degree in clinical research. Admission requirements include "A bachelor's degree in science, health sciences or pharmacy". my degree is specialized honours in psychology (in the faculty of health), and i have taken many health related courses (i.e. drugs and behaviour, biological psychology, health psychology, etc) but none were specifically science (i.e. biology, chemistry, etc). the school is closed for the holodays otherwise i would have just called them....do you think psych meets the "health science" requirement??
Clinical research associate with a psyc degree?
The requirements seem a little loose so it's likely you would qualify but might have a weaker application packet on this basis alone. They normally like to have students with a pure science background as they have acquired a stringent scientific approach with their laboratory studies in their bachelors program. I would guess it depends on how competitive the program is and how strong your other attributes are (i.e. grades, test scores, recommendations).
